This beautiful clematis has outstanding purple-mauve/rosy lavender 6-8" double flowers that appear on the 'old wood' in spring. 'Vyvyan Pennell' will then rebloom with single blooms on 'new wood' in August.
This clematis is a good strong grower but still compact and sturdy. Hummingbirds love 'Vyvyan Pennell' but rabbits and deer don't. This beautiful clematis should be arriving mid-April.
