| Take Time To Remember!
Memorial Day, originally called Declaration Day, was officially proclaimed in May of 1868 as a day of remembrance for those who died in service to our great country.
Memorial Day was first observed on May 30, 1868 when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. Placing flowers was a common practice back in that day and still is today.
We encourage you to take time to remember this Memorial Day! |
